Presidential Race

Trump_&_ClintonToday, we will focus on Donald Trump, the presumptive GOP nominee. Believed by many to be the epitome of volatileness, he never fails to surprise. In this week’s presidential race coverage, we will look at Donald Trump’s potential vice president choices, and we will also look at some things he has recently stated from a conservative point of view.

Yesterday, Trump dubbed himself as the “law and order candidate”, and he even called his adversary, Hillary Clinton, “weak”. I know personal opinions do not fair well when reason, evidence, and scrutiny are applied to them, but I agree wholeheartedly with him. Whether it be his strict counterterrorism policies or his border security ideas, he is evidently a strong proponent of law and order. However, he does tend to say things that stoke the fire of division and chaos. Regardless, I feel as though he is the best candidate in the race. Let’s further digest what he said.

After giving himself the prestigious “law and order” name, he relentlessly and fervently strived to abase the presumptive democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton.

“‘Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, is weak, ineffective, pandering and, as proven by her recent e-mail scandal which was an embarrassment not only to her, but to the entire nation as a whole, she’s either a liar or grossly incompetent. One or the other. Or very simple. Personally, it’s probably both,’ Trump said addressing attendees.” (John Santucci, ABC News)

Yet again, I completely agree. Hillary Clinton was either extraordinarily careless and incompetent when dealing with the emails, or she has been ardently lying and deceiving all of America. Both spell defeat for the crooked individual, and it is very likely both.

John Santucci of NBC News wrote on about Donald Trump’s quotes, saying,”‘This was not just extreme carelessness with classified material, which is still totally disqualifying. This is calculated, deliberate, premeditated misconduct followed by a cover up followed by false statements and lies to congress, the media, and the American people,’ Trump also said the presumptive Democratic nominee wouldn’t be able to pass a background check.” (John Santucci, ABC News)

Despite his fickleness, Donald Trump has picked four potential vice presidents, and he has not changed his mind as of yet about any. Surprising, right? The four men are Mike Pence, the current Indiana governor, Newt Gingrich, the former speaker of the House, Mike Flynn, formerly in the  U.S. Army, and former republican presidential candidate (and current New Jersey governor) Chris Christie. (Harry Ente, FiveThirtyEight)

We Americans have a choice to make. It’s between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, right and left, republican and democrat. Whether we like the presumptive GOP nominee or not, we need to unite as a party behind him, because our ultimate goal should be to stop (you guessed it) Hillary Clinton.
